I am at work building the Cruise Director's Handbook and planning the daily posts that will guide us all through this virtual cruise. I was a little concerned about finding enough material to share. I am sure that will not be a problem. I want to keep it to about 2 hours max viewing per day. Fortunately I can spill some of the excess over onto days at sea. I will also be making recipe suggestions as well as possible reading suggestions for those who want to get more into the culture and history. I am assuming that most of us have computer access and can view online video that way. We are just exploring Amazon Prime using the fire stick. I think this will make some of the video more impressive on a larger TV screen. I hope you will enjoy this. Please make suggestions about things to be included.
I think I have solved the map problem. I found a Pacific Centered World Map on Amazon. Here is the link:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0763R4DJJ…
I will try to scan appropriate sections and mark our progress. Is Amazon the source of all things?
We will be following the route and ports of call for the Holland America 82-Day Grand Asia & Pacific Voyage. Our 'virtual' cruise will include special meals, documentaries, travel logs and films related to the cities and countries visited on the cruise. If you would like to follow along with us, you will find the itinerary and other information about the actual cruise here:https://www.hollandamerica.com/details?webItineraryIdForAudit=W8A82A&fromSearchVacation=true&guestsCount=2&voyageCode=A860&selectedMeta=Interior&shipId=AM
I will be your Cruise Director. Check here daily beginning January 15, 2018. I will post the Daily Cruise Newsletter with the schedule for the day and links to photos, video and information.
